Giannis doing Giannis stuff

This might not be the most shocking takeaway for anybody who has watched Milwaukee Bucks basketball this season, but it turns out this Giannis Antetokounmpo guy is pretty good. Giannis led both teams in scoring, putting up 33 points to go with his 15 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.

The Greek Freak started things off in fairly quiet fashion during the John Henson renaissance that was the first few minutes of action, but it didn’t take long for him to get into the swing of things. He might be the MVP this season, but the crazy thing is that Giannis still seems to be coming to grips with how good he is.

Antetokounmpo did not take over long stretches of the game between Los Angeles and Milwaukee on Saturday, instead getting lots of his buckets through flashes of greatness. Some of that may have been due to the fatigue of playing the night before, but Giannis still picks spots more selectively than he might have to.

That sounds more critical than it should. The dude is really freaking good, and if he plays like this for the next ten years he’ll go down as an all-time great without a doubt.

Still, the best part is that it feels like there’s more growth to come from Giannis, which is a thought that should terrify the rest of the NBA.
