Forcing turnovers

The Bucks struggled in many areas against the Wizards, one area were they did not struggle was the turnover margin. Monday the Bucks were able to force 16 turnovers against the Washington Wizards, while only committing nine of their own.

This was due in large part to the difference in steals. The Bucks were able to get six more steals than the Wizards, out-swiping them 10-4.

That is the kind-of difference in turnover margin you hope for when playing an ultra-aggressive style. Trapping picks and keeping hands in passing lanes should allow you to grab more errant passes and lead to fastbreak opportunities.

Not only were the Bucks able to force more turnovers than the Wizards, they also recorded six more blocks. The Wizards only managed one blocked shot in the entirety of the game, while Milwaukee rejected seven.

These differences were even greater early in the second half, and were able to keep Milwaukee in the game despite sub-par play in nearly every other category.
