Major key for Milwaukee – Move the ball

The Bucks rank eighth in assists per game for the season overall as they average 23.1 per game, but that number has in itself taken a significant tumble over the last few days.

In consecutive losses against the Mavericks and Wizards, Milwaukee has managed to dish out only 13 and 17 assists respectively.

It seems like no coincidence that those two games have therefore been the Bucks’ two lowest scoring games of the season. Likewise, the connection between the energy and activity level of the players and the lack of ball movement seems obvious.

Sharing the ball around doesn’t just lead to better looks offensively, but it gives all of your players a touch, keeping them locked in and involved.

The Bucks have the tools to be a good offensive team, and against one of the league’s worst defensive groups in Phoenix, they need to swing the ball around to find open men on the perimeter and around the basket.
