Sun to watch – Greg Monroe

Bucks’ fans would have had their eyes drawn to the play of Greg Monroe anyway, but it’s even more relevant as he may well pose the biggest threat to Milwaukee on Wednesday night.

With John Henson ruled out of the game in Phoenix, the Bucks will be left with a center rotation of Thon Maker and two-way player Joel Bolomboy, with Giannis Antetokounmpo likely to be asked to spend some time at the 5 too.

That would be less than ideal under normal circumstances, but the problems may be amplified further due to Monroe’s inside track.

The former Georgetown Hoya’s skill, size and veteran know-how will cause the Bucks’ big men problems in its own right, but he also knows his teammates’ games inside out.

Thon Maker finds it tough to avoid foul trouble on any given night, but it’s essential that he stays on the floor as long as possible on Wednesday, and Monroe could know all of the tricks to make sure he has to sit.

In three games with the Suns since returning from injury, Moose is averaging 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 21.3 minutes a night.
