Who’s next?

Due to the holiday break, the Herd will next face the Lakeland Magic on Saturday night at the RP Funding Center in Lakleand, Florida (as always, you can catch the game on Facebook Live through the G League’s home page).

Like the Herd, the Magic have gotten off to a strong start in their first season in central Florida and it’ll be a battle of Eastern Conference powers as the Magic rank just a game back of the Herd for the best record in the East at 5-2.

The Magic currently boast five players who are averaging over double figures in scoring so far, two of those being Wesley Iwundu and Khem Birch, who have respectively been on assignment multiple times with the team to start the year.

On the other end, the Magic are incredibly well disciplined as they rank as the fourth-best defense in terms of defensive efficiency and stand as the top defensive rebounding team in the league so far with 37.9 defensive rebounds per game.

In addition to that, the opposing teams the Magic have faced up until this point are averaging the lowest effective field goal percentage at 45.9 percent in their first seven games.

For all those reasons, the Herd will have to be on their toes in order to leave the Sunshine State with a hard fought and gutsy victory.
