When you’re a JET, you’re a JET all the way

Last night’s game against the Kings featured a new wrinkle as head coach Jason Kidd dusted off Jason Terry and gave him his second extended run of the season.

It resulted in a mixed night for Terry he scored three points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field (1-of-4 from deep), hauled in two rebounds, handed out three assists, had a turnover and a steal each and was a +12 in just over 22 and a half minutes of play.

However, the 40-year-old certainly managed to leave an impression any time he set foot on the floor as Kings fans promptly booed him with almost every movement he made and especially whenever the ball swung his way (the collective memory of Kings fans remain intact as Terry refused to play with the Kings after being traded to Sacramento during the 2013-14 season).

The 19-year veteran only stoked the fire from the crowd even more after he drained his lone make from beyond the arc in the final few seconds of the third quarter.

While it was the perfect setting and opponent for Terry to get his first stretch of substantial minutes in over a month, Kidd foreshadowed that Terry will likely be working his way back in the team’s regular rotation as Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel tweeted out after the postgame conference:

That’s not too dissimilar to how Kidd handled Terry’s minutes in the earlier parts of last season and like he did last year, hopefully Terry will produce similar results from long range with his increased role within the team this year.

The Bucks will look to continue their winning ways when they take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night to finish off their four-game West coast trip.
