Major key for Portland – Contain Giannis

While Trail Blazers fans may have tried to forget it, no Bucks will have forgotten the last encounter between these two teams from earlier in the season.

On that occasion, the Bucks prevailed by three points in a thriller thanks to an other-worldly showing from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Although it was his late flurry of plays including steals and blocks that got most of the attention at that time, and effectively kickstarted the MVP buzz surrounding him, Giannis also racked up a career-high 44 points for himself over the course of the contest.

The return of Al-Farouq Aminu from injury should hypothetically help Portland out when it comes to trying to find a way to limit Antetokounmpo’s impact, but then again, neither Aminu or Maurice Harkless had any answers for the Greek Freak on that night back in October.

Giannis looked fired up following recent events when he racked up a quick 32 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals in 26 minutes against Sacramento on Tuesday, and it’ll be up to Portland to find some way of slowing him down if they don’t want to see him just pick up where he left off.
