Major key for Boston – Help from the supporting cast
The Celtics’ early season success has been built on a stellar defense and strong overall contributions from across their roster.
There’s an argument to be made for the Bucks having the greater available top-end talent of the two teams, but particularly in light of a struggling Milwaukee bench, the deciding factor in a matchup between the two teams could well be how the more peripheral players find a way to influence the game.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have both excelled in the expanded roles they were thrust into following Gordon Hayward’s injury. Behind them, the likes of Marcus Morris, Terry Rozier and Marcus Smart have also chipped in with significant contributions.
If the Celtics are to get the win on Monday night, they’ll have to rely on those kind of players to continue their good play and weigh in with the necessary extras to get their team over the line.
