Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 104-100 win over Detroit Pistons
Vaughn’s stellar play
After declining Rashad Vaughn‘s fourth year-option the Bucks made a clear signal that the franchise did not see Vaughn as a part of their long-term future. With his play against the Pistons, he is looking to become a part of their present, though.
With Jason Terry out for the next two weeks, and with the Bucks playing three games in the next four days, Rashad Vaughn is likely going to receive legitimate playing time. If he plays like he did against Detroit, it might be longer than that.
In 17 minutes of action Vaughn scored 11 points on four shots, grabbed five rebounds, dished out two assists, and even recorded a steal. He recorded a plus/minus of +18, which was by far the best on the team, and was undeniably good, if not spectacular.
Will Vaughn play this well every night? Of course not. Still, with Milwaukee relying on 40-year-old Jason Terry, as well as, journeyman DeAndre Liggins, there are minutes available if Vaughn can show some consistency during this next stretch.
