Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: Dec 23 at Charlotte Hornets
By Adam McGee
Major key for Charlotte – Win the three-point battle
In Friday’s edition of this article, I wrote about the importance of Charlotte shooting above their averages from the field, three-point range and the free throw line, and they managed to do just that in giving themselves an excellent chance to win down the stretch.
The area where they excelled the most was from distance, though. The Hornets made 12-of-26 three-point attempts (46.2 percent) and had seven different players make at least a single triple.
That sharpshooting is a positive on any given night, but against a Bucks team that can often be found wanting from distance, it counts for double.
The Bucks have more talent than the Hornets, and Charlotte are unlikely to be able to prevent Giannis Antetokounmpo and Eric Bledsoe from getting to the basket at will. In that regard, the three-point shot can act as the great equalizer for the home team on this occasion, if they continue to let fly with confidence.
