Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 109-104 win over Charlotte Hornets

The Spark
Facing an 11-point defect and stagnant offense midway through the third quarter, Bucks head coach Jason Kidd deployed a lineup featuring Giannis at the center position in search of a much-needed scoring run.
Such a look has been frequently pined for by the Bucks’ faithful but seldom utilized by the Bucks coaching staff over the last few seasons.
Almost immediately, Milwaukee ripped off 12 straight points, taking the lead and forcing a Hornets timeout on the way. With increased transition opportunity and Antetokounmpo’s drives setting up open threes, the offense looked to be running at its highest potential.
Both teams would play relatively even for the rest of the contest, making this short stretch an essential part of the victory.
Newly acquired sharpshooter Sean Kilpatrick made his Bucks debut as part of this unit, knocking down a three-pointer to jump-start the scoring for Milwaukee and hitting a pull-up jumper shortly after.
Perhaps this lineup was only brought about by the absence of Howard, but hopefully its impact leads Kidd to look to use it more often when the time is right.
