Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from the Bucks 111-106 loss to the Charlotte Hornets
Blowing Big Leads
If recent trends are anything to go by, it seems as if the Bucks just can’t hold on to leads.
Two games ago the Bucks came away with a huge victory over a very good Cavaliers team that was playing extremely well. The win, however, came only after the Bucks recovered from blowing a 20-point lead.
After the victory, the thought around the organization seemed to be that recovering from the blown lead would be a positive for the Bucks as it showed the team’s character and heart.
Now, after blowing another 15-plus-point lead against a much worse team, albeit without Giannis, the feeling around Milwaukee will not be nearly as positive. Especially considering that failing to keep large leads cost Milwaukee more than a few times last season.
Giannis not playing and the Hornets getting hot from beyond the arc may be easy targets to blame this game on, but the Bucks must find a way to close out games that they seem to have control of.
