The Midas Touch

Rising to the occasion as he did on Friday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo capped off a solid, if not spectacular night (by his standards), in memorable fashion.

In nearly 40 minutes of play, Giannis posted 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, 12 rebounds, six assists, five turnovers, a block and a steal each and was a +1 on the night.

The 23-year-old star consistently made his presence known by chipping in most of his scoring output in the first half, crashing the glass on both ends of the floor and setting up teammates for great scoring looks.

However, Antetokounmpo struggled to keep up that same pace in the second half and his performance was not without some warts too, judging by the number of turnovers he had a hand in producing throughout the game.

Of course, all of that was redeemed with his controversial game winning baseline drive over Russell Westbrook to seal the victory with milliseconds to go.

While the officials clearly missed Giannis’ late foot fault, there certainly was no fault in him delivering what was clearly a sensational clutch winner to give the Bucks their 19th win on the season.
