As he often does in his quiet, but consistent manner, Khris Middleton played a vital part in the Bucks’ win over the Thunder Friday night.

In just over 39 minutes of action, Middleton produced 20 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field (3-of-8 from deep), six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block each and was -1 on the night.

The six-year player jumpstarted the Bucks on more than one occasion, the first coming in the opening period when Middleton scored his first 11 points in the game’s opening nine minutes, which helped give the Bucks their first double-digit lead.

The second time came in the beginning of the fourth quarter where Middleton, acting as the anchor/primary creator in what was an all bench lineup surrounding him, hit a succession of buckets to give the Bucks some much needed cushion to their lead, which proved to be even more useful given how things turned out.

So even as Giannis may have shined in the spotlight once the final buzzer sounded, Middleton certainly made his mark on last night’s game for the Bucks in more ways than one.
