Magic to watch – Aaron Gordon

While Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris thrive elsewhere, the Magic’s wait for a star that can drag them out of their lengthy post-Dwight Howard malaise continues.

While Aaron Gordon may not be able to lead the Magic to success single-handedly in future, he is at least showing real signs of growth this season.

Gordon is Orlando’s leading scorer, and along with averaging 19.2 points, he’s also racking up 8.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 39 percent from deep.

That improvement in three-point shooting is particularly important, as Gordon isn’t only making the long ball at an efficient rate, but he’s taking a healthy volume of attempts (5.7 per game) too.

Gordon is now capable of hurting the Bucks in the paint and closer to the perimeter, meaning Milwaukee can’t afford another night of complete defensive meltdown.
