Major key for Golden State – Supporting cast steps up

Sporting a four-headed behemoth that wreaks havoc all over the league, it’s no secret what the Warriors’ key to success is these days.

But depending on the availability of one of their stars (more on that later), the Warriors might have to ask a little more out of their second unit, depending on the adjustments head coach Steve Kerr will make heading into the night, that is if he ends up having to at all.

The Warriors have gotten the expected production from the newcomers they picked up over last summer as Nick Young is doing Nick Young things, both on and off the court, Omri Casspi has been filling in the gaps on the wings more as a driver/cutter rather than a three-point specialist and rookie Jordan Bell has certainly cashed in by landing in the Bay Area, thanks to a draft night trade between the Warriors and the Chicago Bulls.

At the same time, the Dubs are still waiting on their sixth man Andre Iguodala to find his shooting touch from long range (he’s shooting 24.2 percent on 1.8 attempts from downtown per game), though it may just be a ploy to give us something to talk about other than their shining success.

Again, this may all be a moot point if the Warriors are at full strength for the night, but it’s something the Bucks will be paying close attention to well before gametime.
