Warrior to watch – Stephen Curry

With the egregious amount of riches and collective firepower they have at the top of their roster, there isn’t just one Warrior the Bucks can clue in on to try to limit the defending champs from running wild on them.

But with his status up in the air for Friday night’s contest, it’s hard not to go with anyone other than guard Stephen Curry, especially with the kind of tear he’s been on recently.

After missing most of December due to a badly sprained ankle, the two-time Most Valuable Player came back to action firing on all cylinders before the turn of the new year as he put up 35.2 points on 57.4 percent shooting from the field and 53.2 percent shooting from three in his last five tilts.

However, Curry suffered a bit of a step back Wednesday afternoon as he reportedly slipped and fell in practice, re-spraining his ankle in the process before the Warriors’ meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers that night, in which the Clippers pulled out the rug from under the Warriors even as Kevin Durant passed the 20,000 point mark for his career.

As a result, the team announced Thursday night that Curry is listed as questionable going into tonight’s game with the Bucks, though that may be subject to change as we ramp up into the game.

Whether Curry ultimately plays or not, the Warriors will certainly give the Bucks all they can handle and then some when they meet tonight. But potentially missing Curry, with the kind of form he’s been on, would be a big boon for the Bucks all the same.

Editor’s note: Curry will not play tonight against the Bucks, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes.
