Who’s next?

The Herd will have a lengthy layoff before they next take on the Greensboro Swarm next week Wednesday back in their home at Menominee Nation Arena.

If it’s a matchup that feels very familiar, that’s because the Herd took on the Swarm in back-to-back tilts in Greensboro right before the turn of the new year, with both teams taking one game each in that set.

However, the Swarm won’t be entering the game with quite the same look as they swung a three-team deal with the Northern Arizona Suns as well as the Erie Bayhawks earlier in the week, a swap in which they sent out former Kentucky Wildcat Archie Goodwin in exchange for future G League draft picks and forward Roscoe Smith.

It remains to be seen whether the Hornets will assign either one of their rookies, Malik Monk and/or Dwayne Bacon, to the Swarm as they did in their last pair of games against the Herd, but it certainly worked in their favor as both showed out in solid to spectacular fashion, respectively.

Now with a much needed win in their possession to break their slide, facing a plummeting Swarm team might be what the Herd need to peel off a new streak, this time being of the winning kind.
