Giannis trying to keep it honest

Joining Brogdon in trying to rally things together for the Bucks on Sunday in Miami was superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

It was a relatively quiet start for Antetokounmpo coming out of the gate, at least by his standards. But Giannis started to find his groove upon entering the game midway through the second quarter, with a Magic Johnson-like pass to Brogdon late in the period being the biggest piece of evidence that he was starting to feel himself, especially when having the ball in his hands.

Even as things fell apart throughout the third quarter, Antetokounmpo was a lifeline for the Bucks as he was doing anything to keep the team within range of the Heat.

In total, Antetokounmpo posted 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field (a perfect 10-of-10 from the stripe), six rebounds, two turnovers, an assist and a steal each and was a -20.

Unfortunately, it was a good, not great performance for Giannis, but it all can’t fall on him to lead the Bucks to victory, especially with some of his marquee three compatriots putting in dreadful performances. On that note…
