Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: January 22 vs Phoenix Suns
By Adam McGee
Sun to watch – Devin Booker
Even in scoring an inefficient 23 points on 8-of-24 from the field in the meeting between these teams back in November, Devin Booker showed the Bucks exactly how dangerous he can be as he drained a deep three-pointer to send the game to overtime.
The odds would suggest the Bucks are unlikely to catch Booker on such a relative off-night again. For the season to date, the 21-year-old is averaging 25.3 points, 4.6 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 44.3 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from deep.
Booker has free rein in Phoenix since Bledsoe’s trade to Milwaukee, and he’s making the most out of it.
Not only has the former Kentucky Wildcat become a more consistent scorer this year, but he’s done so without losing any of his ability to burst out for big one-off scoring displays. If the Bucks aren’t careful they could be on the wrong end of a 43-point masterclass from Booker like the Trail Blazers were just a matter of days ago.
