Major key for Brooklyn – Fire away from deep

Only the Houston Rockets attempt more three-pointers per game than the Brooklyn Nets, and if Kenny Atkinson’s team want to leave Milwaukee with a win on Friday, they’ll need to knock down a high percentage too.

The Nets make only 35 percent of their 34.1 three-point attempts per game, but against a Bucks team that only attempts 24.4 triples a night and makes just 34.8 percent of them, making anything above their average could make for a sizable differential in terms of scoring from behind the arc.

Joe Harris will represent the greatest threat in this regard, as he combines volume and efficiency better than any of his teammates. Allen Crabbe, DeMarre Carroll and Spencer Dinwiddie will all pose a threat from deep, but none of those players can quite match up to Harris’ 40.4 percent on 4.8 attempts per game.

There are plenty of questions surrounding the Bucks’ defense as they begin life without Jason Kidd, and if the same holes remain, the Nets could be well positioned to exploit them.
