Milwaukee Bucks Game Preview: January 28 at Chicago Bulls
By Adam McGee
Major key for Chicago – Own the paint
The Chicago Bulls certainly don’t have the kind of talent their franchise has often been associated with in years past, but what they do have is stellar frontcourt options.
Considering Milwaukee’s dearth of depth in that area at the moment, that has worked nicely for Chicago in the teams’ matchups so far this season.
The combination of Robin Lopez, Bobby Portis, Lauri Markkanen and Nikola Mirotic all have the potential to inflict further misery on the Bucks, and are capable of doing so in a variety of ways.
While the likes of Markkanen and Mirotic in particular can hurt the Bucks away from the basket, the Bulls’ frontcourt could have their greatest success closer to the rim. For the two games combined this season, the Bulls hold a 110-100 advantage in terms of points in the paint, and are ahead 97-84 on the rebounding count.
If Chicago can continue to win the battles around the basket, they may once again have the beating of the Bucks.
