Wisconsin Herd fall to Raptors 905 in fifth straight loss
Concerning takeaway
All game long, the Raptors 905’s size and activity on the boards on both ends was a back breaker for the Herd. The Raptors’ affiliate finished with a 50-37 total rebounding advantage over the Herd and got great energy and effort in that aspect from all across their roster.
More specifically, though, it was how the 905 attacked the glass and capitalized on putbacks and second chance points on the offensive end that did in the Herd throughout periods of the game.
Considering the size and strength of the 905’s pair of big men in Kennedy Meeks and Shevon Thompson, both Joel Bolomboy and Cliff Alexander were equally matched in that area of the game and it left the Herd asking for more from their wings and guards to get back and help out on the glass, to which they responded well overall.
But in the end, the battle down low went in favor of the 905 and was key to sinking the Herd’s chances of winning.
