Timberwolf to watch – Karl-Anthony Towns

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the league’s more dominant offensive centers, and against a Bucks team that’s notoriously thin in terms of both physique and depth at that position, it spells trouble.

The Rookie of the Year from 2016 was recently selected for his first All-Star Game, and has generally adjusted well to a slightly lesser role with the addition of Jimmy Butler this season.

For the year overall, Towns is averaging 19.8 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 blocks, while shooting a dizzying 53.9 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from deep.

In spite of those outstanding numbers, Towns can be known to disappear at times, and in spite of his considerable size he doesn’t necessarily love contact and physicality. Lacking an obvious imposing center to make things overly uncomfortable inside, Milwaukee’s best bet to keeping Towns quiet may be looking to limit his touches and hoping he disappears back into his shell somewhat.
