Major key for Brooklyn – Crash the boards

With the Nets ranking fourth in the NBA in rebounds per game, and the Bucks positioned as the worst rebounding team in the league, there’s one area where the Nets should have a really significant advantage.

Even in missing shots at the rate they do on average throughout the season, the Nets should have a greater chance of still saving those possessions against the Bucks.

When the two teams met in Milwaukee recently, that significant advantage was nowhere to be found, though. Brooklyn did come out on top in the rebounding battle, but only just, edging it 45-44.

If the Nets fail to capitalize on an area that represents one of their greatest strengths and one of the Bucks’ biggest weaknesses, they’ll likely spend most of Sunday’s game chasing a deficit on the scoreboard.
