MSG (Madison Square Giannis)

The man of the hour, night, week and year for delivering the signature moment in Tuesday night’s game, Giannis Antetokounmpo arguably may have upstaged the Bucks’ win on his own, thanks to a near-impossible feat for any mortal human being.

However, the two-time All-Star’s night got off to a rough start as Antetokounmpo struggled to finish from inside the paint, especially when matched up against the length of Knicks star Kristaps Porzingis early on.

But once Porzingis unfortunately got hurt midway through the second quarter, which later was announced as a torn left ACL, Giannis started to find his touch against any of the lesser matchups the Knicks threw at him from that point on.

Giannis turned it up to another degree midway through the third quarter in what was undoubtedly the highlight of the night. Flanking Khris Middleton in transition after he snatched up a steal, Giannis bounded his way to the basket, leapt in the air to catch and slam home a vicious alley-oop slam dunk while hurdling and clearing over Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr., making for one of the most amazing in-game dunks ever.

It’s completely fair if you felt as if the rest of the game was a blur from that moment on, much like how tennis great and one-time host of ABC’s The Chair, John McEnroe, displayed in his reaction after Giannis followed through in his score.

All in all, Antetokounmpo finished with 23 points on 10-of-23 shooting from the field (3-of-6 from the line), 11 rebounds, six assists, three turnovers, two blocks, a steal and was a +11 on the night.

While it may have been an uneven night for Antetokounmpo in the grand scheme of things, it didn’t stop him from providing the eighth wonder of the world with that dunk last night.
