Hustle Plumlee

While all eyes were on how new Buck Tyler Zeller would fare in his debut with the team, it was two-way player Marshall Plumlee who figured prominently in the team’s plans on Tuesday night against the Knicks.

In nearly 20 minutes of action, Plumlee registered just two points on 0-of-0 shooting from the field (2-for-2 from the free throw line), six rebounds, two assists and was a -4 on the night.

With Henson out for the night due to a tweaked hamstring injury he picked up in the Bucks’ last game and Zeller just joining up with the team mere hours before the game, interim head coach Joe Prunty leaned on the Duke product to soak up some big minutes to great success.

What Plumlee may have lacked in providing an outlet as an option on offense, he more than made up for by staying in his comfort zone and supplying the necessary hustle and workman-like energy that was needed for the Bucks, given the circumstances.

As limited as his remaining two-way days with the team are at this point, Plumlee certainly took advantage of the opportunity that was given to him Tuesday night, giving the Bucks a solid fallback option to rely on when emergency calls as it did on Tuesday.
