Big(s) trouble: Part II

As has become tradition in any meeting with the Heat now, the Bucks had no answer for Miami’s pair of strong, athletic big men.

Both Hassan Whiteside and rookie Bam Adebayo produced double-doubles in their respective outings, with Whiteside posting 12 points and 16 rebounds while Adebayo had 15 points and 10 rebounds, along with three assists and two blocks.

In regard to Whiteside, the North Carolina native posed the same problems as he usually has for the Bucks with his size, strength and ability to protect the paint hitting the trifecta of how to limit the Bucks’ bigs and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who couldn’t get much of anything to fall when bullying his way to the basket.

Adebayo offered the same types of problems as Whiteside did, just with an added twist of holding his own when switched on to any of the Bucks’ guards, wings or forwards. He even came away with a signature moment of the night as he absolutely swallowed up a floater attempt by Khris Middleton in transition midway through the fourth quarter.

Simply put, both Whiteside and Adebayo provided a one-two punch that the Bucks couldn’t solve or figure out in the slightest way on Friday night.
