Homeward bound

The Bucks have been on the road since their win in Brooklyn on Sunday, February 4. They logged a win in that game, another at Madison Square Garden, took a tough loss at Miami, and bounced back with a victory against Orlando.

There is no doubt that Milwaukee were amped for their game against Miami, and it’s unfortunate that they have yet to top the Heat this season. Against the lowly Magic, on a back-to-back, and looking forward to finally going home, it says a lot about Joe Prunty’s team that they could dig in after a rough first half and get this win.

There are two games against the visiting Hawks and Nuggets remaining before the Bucks get a week off for the All-Star break. Anything less than 1-1 would be a shock, and the Bucks are poised to enter the break with at least 32 wins, in the thick of the race for home court advantage in round one of the playoffs.

A win against the Nuggets would be the Bucks’ best win under Prunty so far this season, and the oncoming vacation beckons. Their focus in closing this game out against Orlando, however, suggests that the Bucks will have all their attention on their upcoming, albeit unexciting game against Atlanta.

The Bucks will next be in action when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday evening at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
