Major key for Denver – Keep the ball (and the Bucks’ defense) moving

The Nuggets are one of the NBA’s best passing teams, and that comes with a certain ruthlessness attached.

Denver averages 303.8 made passes per game, a mark which is only good enough for 12th in the league, yet the effectiveness of those passes is evident by the Nuggets’ fifth place rank in assists (24.1 per game).

Mike Malone’s team will swing the ball from side to side to find quality shots, and a big piece of that puzzle comes in the form of Denver’s three-point shooting. The Nuggets are an average three-point shooting team in terms of efficiency (36.1 percent), but they’re ninth in the NBA when it comes to attempts from deep (30.3 per game).

The Bucks’ defense has improved dramatically since Joe Prunty’s instatement as interim head coach, but the Nuggets have all of the pieces required to test that.

The Nuggets will keep the Bucks occupied with the threat of paint points, while also hoping to keep Milwaukee’s defense scrambling with constant ball movement and plentiful three-point attempts.
