Giannis will posterize someone, again

The best play of last year’s All-Star game was undoubtedly Giannis’ putback dunk over Stephen Curry. It brought an aspect of competitiveness to the exhibition game that had been lacking, but this year should present Antetokounmpo with more opportunities.

Antetokounmpo only got the chance to make the aforementioned play because Steph was trying to be aggressive on the boards, which usually has a very low chance of happening. However, the new All-Star format enacted this year should increase the chances of Giannis getting another poster dunk.

With the competitiveness of the All-Star game (hopefully) increasing with the new captain and draft format, more players will hopefully play some semblance of defense. This means more box-outs, more aggressive rebounds, and more block attempts. All of those defensive tactics place defenders in the air, and consequently in Giannis’ way.

Coupling that with the Greek Freak’s head-hunting tendencies this season (*cough* Aron Baynes, Jarrett Allen and Tim Hardaway Jr.), and Team LeBron should always be on the look out for Giannis.
