Major key for Toronto – Lean on past experience

If the Bucks showed that they could potentially have the beating of the Raptors in the opening few games of last season’s first round playoff series, in the time since, Toronto has worked toward stoping out any sense of hope Milwaukee had built up.

Between winning out from being 2-1 down in that series and carrying that over with two wins this season, the Raptors have now won five straight games against the Bucks.

Although the Raptors have yet to play against a Joe Prunty-coached Milwaukee team, they have worked out certain matchup elements between the two teams that may well transcend any tweaks to the team’s overall style.

The Bucks can be something of a wildcard, as all of the team’s fans won’t need any reminder of, but if there’s one franchise that may have cracked the formula to beating them, it’s likely the Toronto Raptors.

If the Raptors can play at the high level they’ve upheld throughout the season, while continuing to take advantage of what seems like an increasingly favorable matchup, they’ll likely have little to worry about on Friday night.
