Major key for Milwaukee – Show some resistance on the boards

Although the Bucks’ rebounding has certainly improved under Joe Prunty’s guidance, they’re still comfortably rooted to the bottom spot in the league in terms of rebounds per game on the season overall.

Sunday night’s game will see them get a closer look at the other side of that coin, as the NBA’s rebound leaders, the Philadelphia 76ers come into town.

On average, the 76ers have grabbed 46.8 boards a night, compared to Milwaukee’s meager 39.5 rebounds per game.

As recently as Wednesday night, the Bucks were given a taste of what can happen when they’re dominated on the glass, as Andre Drummond and Eric Moreland‘s rebounding drove the struggling Detroit Pistons to a 23-point blowout win.

The 76ers are a better team than Detroit, on a much greater run of form, and if the Bucks don’t show some real fight and desire to compete on the glass, this game could get really ugly for them.
