76er to Watch

There’s no need to overcomplicate this. Joel Embiid is a force of nature on both ends of the floor, and he’s playing with a kind of health and consistency that makes him a nightmare matchup for opponents on any given night.

Considering the Bucks’ oft-discussed lack of size inside, Embiid could be in for a big game on Sunday.

For the season to date, Embiid is averaging 23.8 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per game.

At just 48.9 percent from the field, Embiid isn’t as efficient as most players of his size, but that’s in part because he will take shots away from the basket. Embiid does have areas of weakness in his game, and the three-point shot is certainly one of them. The Cameroonian can certainly knock down the long ball, but not with the kind of consistency he’d want on his 3.4 attempts per game.

Embiid’s other notable weakness comes in the form of turnovers as he averages 3.8 turnovers in 31.4 minutes a night. If you make life uncomfortable for Embiid, he can make mistakes. Unfortunately for Milwaukee, the chances of John Henson, Tyler Zeller or Thon Maker bothering him are incredibly slim.

Prepare for a night of vintage Embiid.
