Who’s next?

The Herd will next face the Delaware 87ers on Monday night at 5.30 PM central time at the Bob Carpenter Sports Convocation Center. This time, you can catch the game on Twitch, which you can find via the G League’s home page.

This will mark the third and final meeting of the season between both teams with both the Herd and the 87ers taking a game a piece so far in the season series. Unfortunately for the 87ers, wins have been hard to come by throughout the season as they stand 12-29, the worst record in all of the G League.

Of course, the 87ers currently sport a few players with ties to the Herd between former standout and current 76ers two-way player James Young, first-year pro Cameron Oliver and longtime NBA veteran wing Shannon Brown.

While both Oliver and Brown have mostly kept up what they did while in Oshkosh, Young has fallen off his early season scoring pace since getting picked up the 76ers organization in early January as he averages 17.8 points on 39.4 percent shooting from the field and 37.5 percent from three in 12 appearances with the squad so far.

Considering the tough slate they’ll face to close out the season, it’s absolutely vital for the Herd to pick up a victory over the lowly 87ers to keep closing the gap to boost their postseason chances.
