Milwaukee Bucks: Takeaways from 118-110 win over Philadelphia 76ers
The Greek was on fleek
Since the Bucks resumed play after the All-Star break, there has been plenty of concern over superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo from all Bucks fans to some degree.
On Sunday night, the 23-year-old quieted those lingering worries as he finished with a game-high 35 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field (1-of-1 from three), nine rebounds, seven assists, four turnovers, two steals, a block and was a +3 in nearly 42 minutes of action.
Simply put, Antetokounmpo was an absolute dynamo, dictating the team’s performance with the ball in his hands, no matter whether that was scoring the ball to the degree that he did or attracting a crowd of defenders and feeding his teammates for some beautiful passes.
Filling the score sheet as he did, Antetokounmpo obviously flirted with attaining a triple-double, which the chances of accomplishing it significantly decreasing as he got a minute or two of rest once the Bucks looked to be in the clear late in the game.
After seeing the last few games where he looked to have gotten lost in the shuffle for stretches or an entire game (i.e. against the Detroit Pistons), it was good to see Giannis assert himself in a big way like he did versus the 76ers last night.
