Who’s next?

The tests keep on coming for the Herd as they will host the Westchester Knicks on Saturday night at 7 PM central time at Menominee Nation Arena. This time, you can catch the game on Facebook Live, which can be found via the G League’s home page.

This will mark the second meeting of the season between both teams with the Herd having taken the first tilt back on December 23, winning 123-117, which was boosted by a 36-point performance by guard Xavier Munford.

As it stands, the Knicks are tied with the best record in all of the G League at 28-16, the other team being the Austin Spurs.

With that said, the Knicks have taken big hits recently having lost both Xavier Rathan-Mayes and former Wisconsin Badger standout, Nigel Hayes, over the last week as both got called up to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Toronto Raptors on 10-day contracts, respectively.

Since losing two of their biggest contributors in their best season throughout their four-year history, the Knicks have fallen in both of their contests, both coming at the hands of the fifth seed in the East, the Long Island Nets.

Whether the Herd can take advantage of prevailing over a less than full strength team like the Knicks remains to be seen, but a winning effort will be a massive lifeline to keep their playoff chances from being eliminated entirely.
