Grizzly to Watch

Marc Gasol will be the Memphis player to watch for a variety of reasons.

Firstly, Gasol didn’t play in the Grizzlies’ previous game as he was listed out for rest. Memphis may not be bold enough to draw the league’s attention any closer to that situation by resting Gasol again, but now that they sit with the worst record in the NBA, it’s not impossible.

Beyond that, if Gasol does play, in spite of how increasingly disgruntled he appears to be by the situation in Memphis, he’s still an outstanding center capable of dragging a team along with him.

Although Gasol’s game has always been more about intelligence, finesse and timing than it has been about brute force, he does have the required size and strength to trouble the Bucks at center.
