Because he (finally) said ‘ Soe

The last few weeks of the Eric Bledsoe experience have been all parts deflating and dispiriting to watch on many levels. But on Sunday afternoon, Bledsoe conjured up some of his magic by getting back to basics a bit and regaining his effectiveness on the offensive end in what was arguably his best outing since the All-Star break.

A big part of why Bledsoe’s day was successful was his ability attacking the basket as he often blew by his defender, both in the open floor and in halfcourt situations, to put home crafty and tough finishes for scores.

Experiencing that level of success offensively, Bledsoe came up big for the Bucks throughout their strong third quarter and in crunch time as he scored the bulk of his points for the day during the second half (16, to be exact).

In total, Bledsoe put up 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting from the field (1-of-3 from three), five assists, three rebounds as well as three turnovers, one steal and was a team-high +17 in nearly 32 minutes of action.

While flaws certainly stood out as well, it was refreshing to see Bledsoe come through the way he did for the majority of yesterday’s contest. But one positive performance doesn’t guarantee similar results in the future and I’m sure all Bucks fans will be hoping that Bledsoe can curtail or cut down on the bad habits or questionable decision making he’s displayed recently.
