A wild Zubac appeared

The Bucks’ struggled again defensively, with a defensive rating of 112.6 on the night. The struggles were no more evident than in a stretch of the late third and early fourth quarters, when they had no answer for Lakers’ big man Ivica Zubac.

The Croatian center recorded 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting in just under 12 minutes of action. His production was surely helped by the Bucks’ lineup in that same stretch, which featured Giannis Antetokounmpo at center for a majority of his minutes.

After Tyler Zeller was brought in for reinforcements, Zubac continued to find success against the Bucks until he was taken out with less than six minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Although the Lakers did shoot well overall from the field at 51.1 percent (48-of-94), they struggled from deep, hitting just eight of their 27 attempts (29.6 percent).

With just six of Los Angeles’ field goals coming from the mid-range, they went 34-of-59 in the paint and restricted area, good for 57.6 percent.
