The Greek wreaked havoc

Although certain elements of his play held him back to some degree, Giannis Antetokounmpo made his superstar imprint in a big way down the stretch in the Bucks’ win over the Celtics Tuesday night.

In nearly 36-and-a-half minutes, Antetokounmpo posted 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the field (0-of-3 from three), 11 rebounds, six assists, five turnovers, two blocks, one steal and was a -11 on the night.

While the Celtics certainly game planned to keep the two-time All-Star from reaching the paint, it proved to be no match for Giannis as he often spun his way to the rim, eluding savvy defenders like big man Al Horford in the process.

However, Antetokounmpo’s first half performance was also defined by the high number of miscues he tallied during that span of time. Luckily, that didn’t hold in the second half as Giannis reined in that aspect of his play.

For as steady as he was throughout the night, Antetokounmpo saved his best for last as he powered the Bucks on both ends of the floor all throughout the fourth quarter.

Whether it was feeding Eric Bledsoe a between the legs pass in transition for an easy score or pinning down a block in transition within the final minute of the game, Antetokounmpo simply took over the game, providing the difference on the night for the Bucks to nab the win and to boost their playoff positioning.
