Smart money

Although Giannis Antetokounmpo may have been the standout on the night, Khris Middleton was equally influential in the Bucks’ win on Tuesday night.

As the Bucks came out sluggish to start the night, Middleton proved to be the exception as he led the way early on by knocking down shots from his trademark mid-range spots. But for how dialed in Middleton was shooting the ball, Middleton’s lethal pick and roll playmaking set the tone for the Bucks’ deferential play for the majority of the night.

Defensively, the South Carolina native was very effective as he chased down loose balls, displayed great anticipation and even picked the pocket of Marcus Morris midway through the third quarter that led to an easy breakaway score.

All in all, Middleton finished with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field (1-of-5 from three), nine assists, eight rebounds, three steals as well as three turnovers and was a +6 in over 37 minutes of action.

It certainly was not a perfect night, but Middleton’s outing was as well rounded as a Bucks fan could hope for in a winning result.
