Major key for Milwaukee – Let Malcolm Brogdon settle back in

Outside of winning, there’s nothing more important for the Bucks than getting Malcolm Brogdon some quality minutes on what’s slated to be his return to action, and seeing him feel comfortable being back on the court.

Brogdon hasn’t played since partially tearing a quadricep tendon in a game with the Minnesota Timberwolves back at the beginning of February, and although he was once listed as probable to play in Saturday’s win in New York, he ultimately opted to wait for this one.

Not only can Brogdon offer a calming presence to a team that has been painfully lacking in quality guard minutes for a considerable length of time, but he can also offer an infusion of added talent as the playoffs arrive.

It may seem too much to ask of Brogdon to expect fireworks on Monday night, but when asked by Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel whether he believed he could be back up to speed in time for the playoffs, the former Virginia Cavalier replied:

"“Absolutely. I’ll definitely be able to get back into a rhythm before, but it’s mandatory that I play at least a game or two before I get back to the playoffs.”"

The first of those games should come on Monday, and Brogdon’s Bucks teammates could well be buoyed just by having him back in action too.
