(Season series: Tied at 2-2)

The Celtics have already been involved in a couple of very significant games with the Bucks this season, as they were the opponent for both Milwaukee’s season opener and the once-off return game to the MECCA.

Although those games produced very different results, the overall series has been tightly contested throughout the year.

The biggest winning margin for either team was 11 points, when the Celtics picked up a home win back in December, while the cumulative score between all four games sees the teams separated by just two possessions, 409-403 in Boston’s favor.

Milwaukee’s best performance in the season series likely came on opening night, as they stole in to beat Boston on the road behind a stellar defensive performance as a team and an offensive outburst from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

From the Celtics’ perspective, as much as they impressed in spoiling the party at the MECCA, their best showing came in that December win, when they were led by Kyrie Irving, Al Horford and Jayson Tatum to a very efficient shooting night from three-point range, and the field more generally.
