Celtic to watch

There’s no disputing the fact that Al Horford was comfortably Boston’s best player on Sunday, and the Celtic who caused the Bucks the widest range of problems on both ends of the floor. In saying that, Horford’s contributions were very far from unexpected, though.

The real wildcard for the Celtics was Marcus Morris. Morris is an accomplished player who was always going to make an impact off the bench, but his 21-point showing in Game 1 will likely mean the Bucks will have to pay much closer attention to him moving forward.

Morris demonstrated some phenomenal shot-making, particularly in making a heavily-contested, turnaround long two over Khris Middleton late in the game.

Beyond that, Morris showed a particular focus and willingness to attack Jabari Parker whenever the duo ended up on the floor together, and there’s no reason to believe he can’t have continued success in that matchup.

If Morris’ overall performance level can again approach the highs of his Game 1 display, the Bucks will be up against it in Game 2.
