C-. It wasn’t for a lack of trying, or any major changes, but it just didn’t click for Thon Maker on the road like it did at home. Maker failed to register a block on Tuesday and couldn’t get a three-pointer to fall. There were a couple of instances when his over-eagerness worked against him, as the Celtics worked in more pump fakes and he also had one costly instance of overhelping. To Maker’s credit, he did a better job of staying down as the game progressed, but that left him as a much less impactful player than the Bucks had hoped for.. Center. Milwaukee Bucks. THON MAKER

Jabari Parker’s defense left a lot to be desired once again, but his attitude, energy and desire all lived up to the task in other areas of the floor. Parker’s 17 points were crucial on a night when scoring was a real chore for the Bucks, but it’s no surprise that Parker can unlock an extra offensive gear at times. What was unexpected were the four crucial offensive rebounds Parker hauled down late in the game. Jabari played as big a part as anyone in allowing the Bucks to close the gap on multiple occasions, but he could never quite get them through the other side.. Forward. Milwaukee Bucks. JABARI PARKER. Milwaukee Bucks. SHABAZZ MUHAMMAD. B+. Shabazz Muhammad eventually cooled off after a blistering start, but that wasn’t really his fault. It’s just part of the deal that comes with turning to a player as streaky and single-minded as he is. Muhammad burst into the game with a quick 11-point salvo that dragged the Bucks right back into the game. Unfortunately, that’s where it ended. Muhammad did have his number called in crunch time, and although he had similar chances, he couldn’t get anything more to fall. The Bucks needed a spark out of nowhere to keep them alive, and Muhammad delivered. Asking him to do more beyond that is a coaching problem more than anything else.. Forward
