Drew the short straw

Turning our attention to another Buck who greatly struggled for the night, Eric Bledsoe continued to add to his underwhelming playoff performances again on Tuesday night in the Bucks’ loss to the Celtics.

The tone was set straight away in that regard after the opening tip as the 28-year-old was up to the usual scattered start with his patented transition turnovers and ill-fated mid-range jumpers that clanked the rim on multiple occasions.

Bledsoe’s play took a miserable turn later in the first half as his defensive effort waned considerably, as evidenced by this three-pointer by Celtics guard Terry Roizer midway through the second quarter.

As if that wasn’t enough, Bledsoe and Rozier ratcheted up their beef with one another as they got into a kerfuffle during the third quarter, which resulted in Bledsoe picking up a flagrant-1 while Rozier was dinged with a dead ball technical foul.

All in all, Bledsoe had 16 points on 5-of-15 shooting from the field (2-of-5 from three), five rebounds, three assists, three steals, one turnover as well as one block and was dead even in terms of plus-minus in his 34 minutes and 22 seconds of play.

But Bledsoe’s maddening play and strange headgames with Rozier have certainly forced the hand of many, if not all Bucks fans to fall out of favor with the Kentucky product. It’s as if the productive play that Bledsoe managed to put up in the regular season is being unwritten with how he’s performed and gone about his way throughout the series.
