The best of Snell

When he was at his best throughout the year, Snell played up to the role he carved out in the previous season, one that made him a mainstay in the starting lineup.

With his low-usage role, his ability to knock down three-pointers at an effective clip and defend the opposing team’s most talented perimeter player for significant stretches on a nightly basis, Snell stands as a true plug and play option when sharp alongside the more ball dominant forces on the team like superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

It’s easy to forget now, considering how the season concluded for him, but Snell did stand as the league leader in true shooting percentage weeks into the season.

In the end, though, Snell finished out the season averaging 6.9 points on shooting splits of .435/.403/.792 in his 75 appearances with the Bucks this season, marks that all stand as the second-highest of his five-year career.

For as much as Snell’s struggles stand out in our collective mind, those are still numbers most Bucks fans would be happy with on average and aren’t all that far off from what he achieved the previous season.
