Strengths

The bulk of Holiday’s appeal as a prospect lies on the offensive end as he’s incredibly well rounded as a scorer.

Of all the skills that stand as the most translatable to the NBA, it’s Holiday’s adept three-point shooting that will help him carve out a role as a rookie and beyond, seeing that he shot 42.2 percent from long range on 4.2 three-point attempts per game across his three seasons at UCLA.

While he’s certainly capable of knocking down pull-up threes and making tough shots in general, Holiday’s impeccable spot-up shooting will certainly shine alongside more dominant, high usage playmakers at either forward spot or crafty big men.

As much as Holiday’s strong three-point shooting stands out, he is certainly willing to attack the paint, as evidenced by the 41.7 percent free throw rate he posted during his junior season this year, per Sports-Reference.com.

Although there’s some question over how his finishing can stand up going against NBA-level athletes and rim protectors, it’s an aspect of Holiday’s game that he can hone in on and craft over time on the professional level.
