The worst of Brogdon

If missing 33 games due to injury and one to a personal matter is truly the worst mark against Brogdon, then that must be the sign of a dependable sophomore campaign, right?

In all seriousness, Brogdon’s injury absence only added to the many injury issues the Bucks had to manage through during the year, especially as fellow reserve guard Matthew Dellavedova was lost days after Brogdon picked up his quad injury.

Aside from that, there admittedly weren’t too many holes in Brogdon’s play this year. There are marks you can certainly look at that took a slide year over year, whether it was his three-point shooting or his individual playmaking not shining as bright as it did in his first year.

The one worrisome sign that was negatively attached to Brogdon was how impactful his presence was on the floor throughout the year. After being a net positive for the Bucks in his rookie year, Brogdon’s net rating dipped down into the red as he collected a -0.4 net rating.

Of course, there are certainly more layers to that fact and with Brogdon carrying the burden of leading the Bucks’ underperforming bench unit, that obviously meant taking the damage that came along with being assigned that task.
